Stage 1: Initial work will be with one of our Red Coats experienced professionals to sort through your house until every area has been visited and decisions made on your possessions.
Stage 2: A team of Red Coats associates will pack up, number boxes and provide an inventory list of all items “tagged” for new home. Boxes will be stored until after the home has been sold.
Stage 3: Wherever possible, our staging experts will work with your existing furniture and bring in quality accessories as required to enhance the sale of your home. This process includes the movement of furnishings and accessories to your home. Be assured that once the staging day is completed, you will be able to comfortably live in the home until it is sold. After the home has been sold, a team of Red Coats professionals will return to your home and remove all staging items.
Stage 5: We will work with you to provide the most efficient and cost effective way to dispose of your remaining possessions. If at all possible, we will sell items on your behalf through specialist buyers, consignment, auction, etc. For items not suitable for the above, we will arrange for distribution of final possessions to local charitable organizations to ensure nothing goes to waste.

If the thought of getting your home ready for sale is overwhelming, the Red Coats team can help you make it happen with ease. We recently helped a family who wanted to get their home ready to be shown for sale and then make a move to their new larger home. The owners didn’t know where to begin or have the time to do it themselves. They were also under a very tight timeline to get the home on the market as they had put in an offer on another house.
Elizabeth Helbronner, their Real Estate Sales Representative from Chestnut Park, contacted Red Coats to make it happen. We met with her client and explained how we would help them prepare their home for sale within the limited time frame, and without the need for a full, and expensive home staging.

As with many families home, possessions accumulate over the years. For example, basements fill up with items you think you may need (but probably won’t). Closets are filled with clothes for every season, and often with items you haven’t worn for years. And because you are so used to living in your home, you may not see the little chips and cracks in the walls that someone else might see entering your home for the first time.
We went through our client’s entire home. We cleared the basement and boxed up items for storage. We thinned out all the closets, removing all the winter gear, packed and labeled all the boxes for off-site storage, and systematically went through every room in the house and packed up non-essentials.
As Redesign specialists, we also staged their home, primarily making use of their own furnishings, and adding accessories that were in keeping with their décor. We also brought in various trades to paint, do repairs where required and freshen the home up.
